FUTURELAND EXTENDS EXHIBITION

More than seventy thousand visitors have put on virtual reality glasses in FutureLand at this moment. It gives the feeling if you are in the port of Rotterdam in 2066.

The exhibition “Back to the Future” will be extended because of this massive influx until April 18, 2016 on the Maasvlakte. The exhibition shows in a nutshell the past and the future view of the harbor. How the port has developed over the last 750 years into a world port is seen on prints and paintings. The possible future of the port of Rotterdam can be shown fifty years in the future, using modern techniques. De visitor puts a virtual reality goggles on can fly a few minutes above the harbor in 2066.

Future Land is located in the port of Rotterdam, overlooking the Maasvlakte 2 development. The information center is open from Tuesday / Friday and on Sunday. Admission is free! The Future Land Express and FutureLand Ferry stands the whole year waiting for tours and cruises in the new ports.
